My son is still on phone and email restriction, so I am waiting for some snail mail.
In the meantime, I have finished the second revision of my book, Waiting on the Outside, and have sent it to my editor, Christina Frey at PageTwo Editing. So far, she is doing a wonderful job and I am very much appreciative of it. I have a couple of leads for publishing and am eager to get it back and send it out in a proposal.
I did get a call on my cell phone today, from the significant other of another inmate at Beaumont, USP. She was kind enough to call on behalf of my son to pass on how he was doing. I really appreciated her call. Sometimes we have to help each other out. I sent her my email address so we can keep in touch.
It is very frustrating when an inmate is unable to communicate with their family. It is difficult for the family too. I have gotten very used to hearing frequently from my son by email, and it feels like I am being punished also. I hope it will only be for 30 days.
So, enough of that whining!
I have found a new site that has some links for companies that profit from prison and associated industries. Take a look at this site and let me know what you think about these companies.
