Solitary Words : Reflections from Inside, a book of poetry and art by Brett McKeehan will be out soon. I am just finishing compiling the art and poetry so that I can send it to Create Space. I will keep everyone posted as to the progress. Hopefully it will be within the next month or two.
In the meantime, here is another poem and the accompanying drawing from the book. Enjoy and reflect.
Entangled
Entangled, I’ve been snared, strangled, though not scared.
Will I die here?
Wrangled, the courage to struggle, to stand and fight this web cinched so tight.
Will I die here?
It debilitates me, decelerates me, deceiver of self am I.
Will I die here?
All I yearn is to be from the proximity of others,
To see the sea of blue, to taste the breeze on my tongue,
To hear the utter silence of nothing,
But a fugitive of these I am, hankering, I remain.
Will I die here?
